DR. EJIKE OJI

Dr. Jennifer Anyanti is a seasoned Public Health Physician with over 25 years of leadership in health advocacy, research, and systems-strengthening across Nigeria and West Africa. A medical graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, she holds specialist training in Public Health and is a Fellow of the West African Academy of Public Health.
Dr. Anyanti currently serves as the Deputy Managing Director (Strategy and Technical) at Society for Family Health (SFH) Nigeria, one of the largest indigenous NGOs in Africa. In this role, she provides strategic direction for programmatic, research, and technical innovations across diverse portfolios including reproductive health, HIV & AIDS, malaria, health financing, and digital health.
She has a strong track record in applying public health principles to the design, implementation, and evaluation of interventions funded by leading development partners including USAID, the Global Fund, UNFPA, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Her work has spanned HIV/AIDS and STI prevention and control, family planning and maternal health, and strategic behavioural change communication.
A recognized authority in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), Dr. Anyanti has been instrumental in designing and operationalizing user-friendly M&E systems, including the development of national HIV MERL frameworks and digital reporting platforms. She has served as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on multiple national surveys and operational research studies that have influenced health policy and programming.
Passionate about equity in access to care having worked in low resource settings and with underserved populations, she has led several initiatives aimed at reducing social, structural, and policy barriers to health services. She also champions integrated service delivery models that bridge public and private sectors and works closely with community-based providers and public health institutions.
Beyond her technical expertise, Dr. Anyanti is a mentor and leadership coach, actively supporting the next generation of african leaders in health. She sits on the Boards of several national and international health-focused organisations, and is a sought-after speaker, moderator, and policy advisor, with a commitment to advancing women’s leadership in health.
Dr. Anyanti is also a widely published author, with more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, and is respected for her ability to bridge high-level policy with frontline public health impact.
