Dr. Shittu Abdu-Aguye

Dr. Shittu Abdu-Aguye is a public health physician with more than 18 years of clinical and public health program experience. He has provided strategic leadership and played key roles in implementing maternal, newborn and child health programs in multiple states across Nigeria, providing technical and programmatic leadership on HIV/AIDS, RH/FP, MNCH and Nutrition intervention projects. Most recently, he was the Project Director/Chief of Party on USAID’s Breakthrough ACTION project in Nigeria, USAID’s largest country investment in SBC. In this role he led the Integrated RMNCH plus Nutrition Social Behavior Change (SBC) and Family Planning interventions on which he conceptualized and led implementation of innovative SBC strategies to improve health outcomes across 15 states and the FCT.
