Esther Awazzi Envuladu
Esther Awazzi Envuladu is a Professor of Community Medicine and Sexual and Reproductive Health with the University of Jos, and a consultant community physician with the Jos University Teaching Hospital, Nigeria She obtained her MBBS in 2001 and Postgraduate diploma in management in 2014 and became a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians in 2009. She has an MPH- SRHR with the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT)/VU University in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Social Science and Public Health (Track in Adolescent Health) with Utrecht University, The Netherlands. Her expertise lies in public health practice and sexual & reproductive health. She worked mostly in the area of Maternal Health as well as Adolescent Health. She has over 90 articles published in Peer reviewed journals and have supervised several postgraduate students at Masters, Fellowship and PhD levels.
She is currently the Secretary General of Society for Adolescent and Young People’s Health in Nigeria (SAYPHIN) and the Deputy Provost of the College of Health Sciences, University of Jos. She is married and blessed with three boys.
